The Black Rose II is really a Live action roll playing (LARP) ship based on some real history. The names appearing in the Captain History are the captains real life parents. The ship history is based on historical facts.

The Black Rose II has its own tavern. The proprietor, Master Cook Sven Dere and his lovely wife Ale Conner Brandy Whyne are the proud owner's of The Finn and Feather Tavern. Sven can be found at the Connecticut Renaissance Fair. Sven is well known for his delicious turkey legs. They are rated the #1 turkey legs in New England.

We also have our own brewer, Boatswaine Rikkard Von Damage.  He is well known for his mead and beers. He calls his home brewery the Black Rose II Brewery.

Our Ships Surgeon Phelan is a real life EMT for New Hampshire. Phelan is also our EMT at the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire and is always there to help in a second.

Our Sail master’s Mate Anni Geturguns McDraggon is owner of the Tinkers Backpack. Her merchandise is of the highest quality. Most of her jewelry is handmade. She can be found at some of the Highland Games and a few of the Renaissance Fairs.

Our Master Musician Wulfric Black Tongue is a master at playing the bagpipes. His sound is both haunting and toe tapping. He keeps the spirits high during a ships raid.

Tazzy the Pansy Pirate's original position was the ships cartographer. Her ability and love for black powder, both history and the weapons, made her a great candidate for our Master Gunner’s position. In real life she is a master Tattoo artice and has designed the ships map we proudly display. She is a very multi talented lady and a wonderful addition to our crew.

Daithi Dubh our ships Chaplin in real life is a  Ordained Minister. He does all our weddings and memorial services. He provides spiritual comfort to all crew. He also is very proficient in sword fighting making him an excellent ships marine. Our warrior monk.

We are also an official ship of the International Brotherhood of Royal Privateers under direction of Lars E. Lunde of the Lundegaard Armoury
